Inteligator Scam?

Is there any truth in the claims that there is an “Inteligator scam“? Well, to answer that question, it is important that we take a look at the way in which the internet works, and some of the ‘backhand’ way in which companies attempt to ‘defame’ their competitors.

Since the advent of the internet, the whole way in which we purchase goods or services has completely changed. Nowadays it is possible to virtually run our whole lives using just our computer and mouse. From doing our groceries to our online banking, there is very little that we can’t do from the comfort of our homes.

Whilst this is in many ways a very positive thing, it can also have its downsides, as many unscrupulous companies take advantage of the anonymity of the web to supply dodgy goods or services. Consumers can, and do, however, fight back against these companies by using forums etc to report poor or bad buying experiences.

On the face of it, this in itself is a great way for potential buyers to re-assure themselves before parting with their money. Unfortunately, however, placing our trust in what we read on forums can often be fraught with just as much danger as just blindly making an on-line purchase in the first place.

Whilst the forum owners are more than likely acting in good faith, it is becoming increasingly popular for anonymous posters to “defame” competitors by revealing ‘stories’ of poor customer experiences. Just about every company on earth has suffered from the “scam” story.

Even the big Google itself has an army of angry customers claiming that Google customer services are more or less non-existent, and that the whole Google search engine is open to bribery by any company willing to pay enough money to get on the front page of Google, and therefore seen by visitors!

Do we therefore label Google as a scam? No, of course not. For every one dissatisfied customer (or anonymous competitor) who reports a problem, there are likely to be ten thousand satisfied customers. Customers we never really hear about, as they have nothing to complain about. And people rarely bother to report ‘good service’. That’s just a fact of life.

And so it is with Inteligator. Just like thousands of companies before it, they now find themselves being labelled as scammers in some online forums. Of course, we all know by now that the main people behind these ‘Inteligator scam‘ comments are often people simply working for their competition. Or maybe they are one of the few genuine dissatisfied customers.

Either way, given the “anonymous” way the web works, we should always be a bit cautious with EVERYTHING we read or see online, no matter whether it is good or bad.

When making any online purchase, there is ONE over-riding factor which should affect your decision as to how “safe” your purchase is. Namely, the PAYMENT PROCESSOR. Ultimately, it is the company who actually processes your payment who you would contact if you ever felt a need to complain or request a refund. That is the company you really need to be researching whenever you place an online order, for any goods or services.

With that in mind, and when considering the issue of whether there is an Inteligator scam or not, we see that the company behind the processing of the payment is a company called Clickbank. This is good news. Clickbank process payments for literally thousands of online websites.

And the best part? If you have any problems at all with any purchase made through Clickbank, you simply send them one email, explain the problem, and that you were not happy, and they will refund any moneies that you have paid. I personally have purchased many online services using Clickbank.

Whilst I have been completely happy with many of those purchases, I have on a few occassions needed to ask for a refund. In ALL cases, without exception, my refund request has been handled swiftly, and within 48 hours maximum. As far as I am concerned, then, as long as i know i can get a refund easily, should i need it, then that is the one single most important factor when making any online purchase.

With Inteligator, you are indeed offered the choice of buying through Clickbank, who in turn also allow you to use Paypal. So you know you are being backed by two of the biggest and most respected payment processors in the world. Any problems can be sorted out with quickly and easily.

Having said that, Paypal themselves have been the subject of some scrutiny in the past relating to some problems that some people have when trying to get refunds for ebay purchases, for example. Again, going back to what we said earlier, it isn’t always easy to tell who makes these claims, or how genuine they are, but it is worth taking note of.

So, overall, when we consider if there really is an Inteligator scam or not, it is very doubtful that there is. But don’t simply take our word for it. Read our full Inteligator review here.
